We are rebooting the Creighton Sports board that anyone can participate in. The hope is many who aren’t members with look for some info here and find they would like inside info and not have their comments made to the general public.

If you have general info that is available to the public feel free to copy it and post it there. If you don’t no biggy just a suggestion. We tried this several years ago and it went to where so we are giving it another shot

Creighton has announced some promotions. The most notable is Rob now given the title of assistant AD and the SID department now renamed Athletic Communications. Ben McNair has also been promoted. Great news. Ben is a top notch guy.

After interviewing several people I’m pleased to announce that Max Hollmann has agreed to serve as a sports marketing intern here at BJB. Max will help promote the brand and look at areas that will sustain growth down the road. He will be involved in many areas including BJB.com, BJB podcasts, LIf-BJB postgame shows. He will also branch out helping me with a few Bracketology projects as well.

Max will introduce himself on here soon. Please give him a warm welcome. He also may reach out to people here via our DMs if he has any questions so if he does please help him out the best you can

Today is the first day to buy tickets for the Purdue exhibition game if you are a season ticket holder. Go to your Creighton Ticketmaster account, sign in and look under invoices to get the tickets. Should be a great event

My question was last year after UConn something was posted on CU website stating the Blue Crew was banned from all campus activities- not just basketball. Now they are at VB games. Question is did they make a policy change and why? Valid question as many, including athletic administration have not had a favorable opinion of Blue Crew and want them removed or changed in some fashion. I haven’t been able to get an answer from sources I have checked with and hoping someone on here can shed some light on it. Thx

Hoops are done--time to move on to the 20-4 baseball team. Huge game Tuesday vs Nebraska. Two top 50 teams per the metric rankings (RPI/ELO) Both teams need each other in a quest for a at large bid.

Hate to do this and especially at such short notice. I had a company that offered up a bunch of help for our golf tournament but at the last minute backed out. Well now because of another illness we are one person short

So if anyone on here has availability tomorrow morning o could really use the help. All you or anyone would need is to run the putting contest. Just measure who’s closest. I’ll pay $200 dollars for a 5 hour job. Then get a free lunch and I will throw in raffle tickets too. You can bring someone along and work in A pair if you like. You will have a cart for shade and you will be right by the clubhouse to take breaks. DM me if you or anyone you know wants to make some quick money. Thanks so much

You have probably noticed some changes on the board. Rivals has gone thru a major rebranding and it began yesterday. Theres a lot there and I don’t think day to day it will mean any changes to what we do. There is a lot. Will have the mods scour thru it all and see if there is anything earth shattering

Biggest change is a totally new logo.

Expecting a decision this week. BJB is expecting him to commit to Creighton. They did a good job of identifying him early, getting him to campus multiple times, and putting in an entire staff effort.

Edit: I’ll also add that I’ve had some communication with him since CU started recruiting him hard. But he’s been pretty quiet since announcing his top 4 so please keep this here (as always).

Back in town after getting things taken care of and ready to get after it

I need some help from all of you. I’m looking for a couple of people. Or one if they have all these skills—

1-someone with skills on website design
2-someone with skills on producing a podcast or minimal knowledge in the task and would like to learn
3-the most important at this stage-someone who has experience or would like to do marketing and/or sales

Don’t need to be an expert at any of this and time investment can be up to the individual. I think this would be perfect for an intern type position. Went thru Creighton and surprised hit a big dead end.

Just want to let everyone know I will be away from the board for 2 weeks plus. Have some things in my personal life that come first.
Zach n Mike are still mods of this board and will take care of any of your needs so reach out to them with issues.

Will be doing BJB on Monday and then be away for at least a couple of weeks. Will try n do the videos- at least a couple— that I started — if not will pick them up when I get back.

Quick overview: 6’ 6 athletic slasher. 34% of his shots came at the rim, which he made at 65%. Below average shooter off the dribble but has good form and shot a better percentage as a catch and shoot guy. Was in the 90th percentile of fast break scoring efficiency. Averaged about 11 pts and 5 rebs last season. A good change of pace guy for an offense predicated on spacing and outside shots.
