Wow another bad post season.

I love Booth and the job she has done. Maybe I see these top 15 rankings week after and I get lured in that we are that good. I hope this isn’t true. But the more this goes on the more it looks like we are the best team in a very average to below average conference. Maybe this is our ceiling.

Very excited to say the least. KenPom has the Jays by 1 over Texas Tech. Seems like the markets have liked the Jays a bit more as most of the opening lines have been steamed towards the Jays. My expectation is the Creighton will be favored by 2-4. Mac mentioned it in his press conference that the scrimmage vs Iowa State should be helpful bc Tech plays a similar defensive style.

- Gavitt games which Creighton isn't apart of starts tonight. DePaul at Minnesota and Butler at Penn State. Go Big East!

The drive for the Final Four begins Monday

Figured we start an offseason thread.

Surely this can’t be more dramatic than last offseason? Lost all 5 starters, including Bishop to Texas. Lost 2 assistant coaches. Almost lost Huss to Illinois.

The least amount of newsworthy events, the better.

Great news. Inked a deal with Infusion Brewery today. So BJB is now the home of Let It Fly beer!!! They will be prominent in our podcasts and certain to have a watch party or two. Also looking into home post games at one of their properties. More to come!!!

I know since this was leaked yesterday, it's been confirmed that these conversations were more exploratory than anything. But it brought up a couple thoughts for me.

1) Being the only non-football school in a football-driven conference seems folly. Talk about being at the kiddy table when it comes to the AD meetings.
2) Does this make the Big East counter with some more serious conversations with Gonzaga after this leak? I would hope so. The league will need to get creative to keep up with the inevitable 2 or 3 super conferences at some point.
3) If Gonzaga did join the Big 12, does that maybe open a door for Creighton to go to the Big 12 in the future if we continue on a positive trajectory? I love the Big East, but if the Big 12 were to try and become the SEC of college basketball in the future and came knocking, you'd have to take it IMO.

For those wanting free rooms at Southpoint. No rooms. Hotel is totally sold out Saturday night. In fact told they have a 300 person waiting list for Saturday They do have rooms on Sunday and Monday.

Apparently the rodeo is going on there. Lady I talked to has received a couple of calls from Jays fans about free rooms but she has heard nothing

so best options I saw are Luxor — next door to Mandalay Bay or Excalibur just down from Luxor. Stayed at Excalibur many years ago and it was kinda a dump. But it’s cheap.

Also further down Flamingo is reasonable. I’ve stayed there a ton.

Mandalay is too pricy

Is this a combo guard we would look to go after? It looks like Mac already follows him on Twitter.

Don’t know if anyone is watching this series on HBO about the beginning of the Magic era in LA but it’s fantastic. This came to mind as I was goofing around with who would play who in another thread. I get that if your under 40 you won’t understand but back in the day there were two regular season games you didn’t miss and that was LA n Boston. And hope like hell they would meet in the finals. And here’s the cool thing about it back then. Not matter who your favorite team was when it came to these two you were either a Laker or a Celtic fan. I lives in Montana and even there fans were split. It was epic

Another cool thing about the show is the number of famous people that became involved - for instance going to a high school and hiring a Dance leader for the Laker girls— it was Paula Abdul. The one that really took me for a loop was Spencer Haywood’s, girlfriend was Iman, who later married David Bowie. Just a cool show. I’m sure some is embellished but a great watch.
