One should not stoop

This is priceless. I think everybody gets it. Timmy might get his first win against Mac this year. If he doesn’t, it is cheating. Like the other 7 or 12 or whatever.

“The verdict meant schools associated with those men, primarily Adidas schools Louisville, Kansas and North Carolina State, were the victims of fraud. The prosecution concluded that “if the universities had known about the defendants’ secret payments, they would have never issued scholarships.” Other schools named in court included Creighton, Duke, North Carolina, Iowa State, Texas, Kentucky, Michigan State, LSU, Maryland, Xavier, Wichita State, Clemson, Notre Dame and Virginia, among others.”

God, we are are listed before Duke and North Carolina (but very carefully by the Omaha World Herald after Louisville, Kansas and North Carolina State based on the actual Dawkins, etc. verdict).

Gotta love these guys. Nebraska should stick to spin making the fanatics think that Scott Frost will make Nebraska football great again and leave the basketball they abdicated by disinterest 20 years ago to Creighton.

Tough shit that holy Nebraska football sucks and Creighton basketball is relevant.

Maybe there should be another Lawrence Phillips to kill somebody to make Tom Osborne seem compassionate.

Big East Media Days

We will have exclusive coverage of media days from New York tomorrow as we are the only media from Omaha that is here. I will try and grab as many coaches as possible, have an interview with Mac and talk to a lot of national media as well

I will be on Sharp and Benning tomorrow as well. Probably after 10am.

We will post all the interviews on here tomorrow night.

2018-2019 Schedule

Here's what we have so far.

Home-- Gonzaga, Montana, Winona St (D-ll), Ohio State

Road-- Oklahoma, Nebraska

Neutral-- Cayman Classic featuring Clemson, Boise St, Georgia, St Bonaventure, Georgia St, Illinois St, Akron,

That's a really strong start to the non con. I Heard we signed another home and home with Oklahoma. Assuming we start on the road. So if we get the right draw in the Cayman Islands we could potentially play six teams in the top 40. That's a great non con.

More to come

Bluejay Banter radio show feature- Jays Greatest Games

Guys

As promised on the show Monday- ( listen to the podcast above) when we come back from the two week hiatus for the CWS we will start a new feature. Each week we will highlight one of the great games in CU history. We will keep it to the last 20 years as at least one of us needs to remember the game. We will then interview someone who was associated with that game--player, coach, media member.

I have a few games in mind. We would love to get suggestions from you. Fire away. Here are a couple.

Of course Creighton- Florida
Creighton SIU matchups
Last two games Creighton and WSU played
Dark horse Creighton and a ranked Western Kentucky team.
CU Oklahoma St

Now let's hear yours

AJ Lawson

Login to view embedded media Obviously news came out over the weekend that AJ Lawson will be officially visiting Creighton starting today. Lawson was as good as advertised for Canada in the recent FIBA Americas U18 tournament. Understandably many are excited that Lawson is visiting as he is a top talent. South Carolina are viewed as the early leaders with Oregon waiting and wanting to be Lawson's last visit in order to wrap him up.

As we all know, recruiting can be fickle. Let's hope Lawson enjoys his visit to Omaha and is buying what the staff is selling. Go Jays!

Coaching Search

As I stated in another thread heard Mac did not want to go to Final Four as he didn't want every assistant in the world coming up to him. He already had some guys in mind.

Sources say top three candidates are So Dakota St asst and former Jay Ben Walker, former Missouri State head coach Paul Lusk and former UT-Arlington head coach Scott Cross.

Word also has it that the decision has been made. Could be one of these three or a surprise candidate.

If it's one of the three above my money would be on Cross. Very highly thought of. Did a great job at UTA and got a raw deal IMO.

Virginia will hold its first two opponents to under 80 points combined
North Carolina's top-five offense failed to reach 50 points in a Jan. 6 loss to Virginia. It's not crazy to predict UMBC and the Creighton-Kansas State winner won't collect 80 points combined against the Cavaliers, the greatest defensive collective of the advanced stats era, in the opening weekend.

22. Creighton Bluejays
The Bluejays have not resembled the offensive blitzkrieg and defensive force they'd become when 6-foot-9 sophomore Martin Krampelj (11.9 PPG, 8.1 RPG) was healthy, before he suffered a torn ACL in January. Yes, they beat Villanova in February without him. But that was an anomaly. Creighton enters the NCAA tournament with a 3-6 record in its past nine games against Division I teams. Marcus Foster (20.3 PPG, 42 percent from the 3-point line) is one of America's best guards. Khyri Thomas is a future pro. Still, they're incomplete without Krampelj and vulnerable for an early upset.
