A step up in competition as the Roos are predicted to win the Summit. They did lose to Iowa State 82-59. Cant go by one game or compare scores. Would be nice if we had a solid effort heading into the teeth of our schedule

Calling all Bluejay fans!

Congratulations to us for being 2-0! Hopefully Coach McDermott becomes the winningest head coach in Creighton history tomorrow! Friday the volleyball has a chance to clinch the Big East for the 11th year in a row!

With the season starting up, we here at Bluejay Banter want to figure out what we can do that will best suit your Bluejay fandom needs. We are looking for recommendations on what YOU would like this page to look like throughout the season. What is your favorite part of this community? What are your ideas for how this page could grow? To become more active? We’re super excited for this upcoming season and we know you are too!

Some of you may have heard but I have joined Bracketville for my Bracketology this year. Dave Ommen has run the site for many years and is one of the best around so really happy to be a part of it. We will have daily updates previewing games as well as sharing key results and how they affect the bracket. Then after the first of the year we will have a premium option and more content as conference season begins. Check daily at Bracketville!

Sorry been off the grid the last two days traveling.

Yes really big pick up and really surprised based on what I had heard. Great family and I knew they were impressed with everything at Creighton when I spoke to them last season. Was always told “we had a chance” but pundits thought he would head elsewhere.

Unfortunately starting this thread a few weeks before we had all hoped for.

It will be an interesting off-season to say the least.

We are rebooting the Creighton Sports board that anyone can participate in. The hope is many who aren’t members with look for some info here and find they would like inside info and not have their comments made to the general public.

If you have general info that is available to the public feel free to copy it and post it there. If you don’t no biggy just a suggestion. We tried this several years ago and it went to where so we are giving it another shot

Creighton has announced some promotions. The most notable is Rob now given the title of assistant AD and the SID department now renamed Athletic Communications. Ben McNair has also been promoted. Great news. Ben is a top notch guy.

After interviewing several people I’m pleased to announce that Max Hollmann has agreed to serve as a sports marketing intern here at BJB. Max will help promote the brand and look at areas that will sustain growth down the road. He will be involved in many areas including BJB.com, BJB podcasts, LIf-BJB postgame shows. He will also branch out helping me with a few Bracketology projects as well.

Today is the first day to buy tickets for the Purdue exhibition game if you are a season ticket holder. Go to your Creighton Ticketmaster account, sign in and look under invoices to get the tickets. Should be a great event

My question was last year after UConn something was posted on CU website stating the Blue Crew was banned from all campus activities- not just basketball. Now they are at VB games. Question is did they make a policy change and why? Valid question as many, including athletic administration have not had a favorable opinion of Blue Crew and want them removed or changed in some fashion. I haven’t been able to get an answer from sources I have checked with and hoping someone on here can shed some light on it. Thx
