McDermott headed to Chicago

Denver drafted Doug at No. 11 and immediately traded him to Chicago. I love it, personally. Live blog going on here.

Doug's official stint in Chicago really gets going today. He meets the Chicago media for the first time which ought to be fun. He then has a photo shoot and of course needs to fine a place to live. We hope to catch up with Doug on Bluejay Banter either tonight or next week. Stay tuned.

Following Doug has now become expensive. He will be throwing out the first pitch Saturday July 5th at the White Sox game. The Sox and Bulls have the same management teams. 4 tickets to represent Creighton...I sure hope Doug can throw a baseball better than Jabari Parker did in Milwaukee!!
