Ran into Coach Lutz in Boji over the weekend. Here are some of the things he told me about the team. Nothing earth shattering but this is premium content--please keep on this board. Thanks
1) As Cole Huff said on our show not overly concerned with Austin's surgery. Glad he got it taken care of when he did. Without any unforeseen complications Austin should be back 100% by start of practice.
2) We are all kind of wondering who will get the start at the 4 this year. Coach said Toby has not had very good practices and has not looked that good. I said to Coach that this is in conflict with what I saw in summer league where I thought he played very well and looked like he had a real shot at starting. Coach was pleased to hear that but said "meh its summer league"
3) We also discussed how impressive Mo was in summer league. Coach said they see that quickness everyday but that he really needs to work on his shooting and become a more consistent shooter.
4) Coach spoke about the battle in pratice this summer between Zach and Geoff. Apparently Geoff got the best of Zach and really pushed him around. Zach really didn't respond back which was disappointing to the coaches. They had some motivational talks with him after the last practice. Hopefully Zach responds.
5) of course can't talk about recruits but I got the sense they are very excited about Patton as he continues to receive attention after some of the AAU games. I think they are very glad they got the committ when they did.
Also is very happy with the rivals site and he and the coaches are happy with the increased content.
