This week's "take your pick" matches up a couple of former sharp-shooting role players: Michael Lindeman and Jimmy Motz. Read through the info we've compiled on each and then vote on who you would take. Be sure to tell us why down below!

We start with Michael Lindeman, who arrived at Creighton in 1999 but redshirted that first season. The 6-foot-6, 200-point guard/forward played in 28 games the following year, which was Creighton great Kyle Korver's sophomore year, averaging 1.2 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest. Lindeman started every game his sophomore year (2001-02), averaging 6.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. He then started all but one game his junior year - he let senior DeAnthony Bowden get the start on senior night - and upped his scoring average to 7.8 points per game. The Jays would go 29-5 in 2002-03 before getting upset by Central Michigan in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Jays made the NCAA Tournament in each of Lindeman's first three seasons.

Lindeman saw his numbers dip a bit in his final year at Creighton as sophomore guard Nate Funk emerged as the team's next star after the departure of Korver. Lindeman averaged 5.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. The Jays would start hot, getting to 12-0, before slipping over the final weeks of the season and missing the NCAA Tournament, snapping a streak of five straight appearances. Throughout his career, Lindeman was a very good free throw shooter, making 32 straight attempts at one point - the fourth longest streak in Creighton's record books - and he was a consistent threat to hit an outside or mid-range jump shot if left open. He finished his career with 682 points and 352 rebounds in 123 games.

Jimmy Motz's time on the Hilltop actually overlapped a bit with Lindeman's - the Lincoln, Neb., native arrived on campus before the 2001-02 season and graduated in 2006. Motz planned to redshirt during his first year on campus, but when the Jays found themselves short-handed before an early game against Nebraska - Korver was out with an injury whose severity was not quite known, for one - Motz was thrown into the rotation. He averaged 3 points in about 11 minutes of action per game. Motz actually would redshirt the following year, though this time it was because of injury trouble of his own as he underwent ankle surgery before the season started.

Motz played in all 29 games off the bench his sophomore year - the 2003-04 season - averaging 3 points per game and establishing himself as a threat from long range. The following year, he started 11 games while averaging almost 6 points per game, and he shot 48.6 percent from 3-point range, breaking Kyle Korver's single-season record at Creighton. In the MVC Tournament, he made 10-of-14 3-pointers and 12-of-16 shots overall. The Jays won the tournament, advancing to the NCAA Tournament where they would lose to West Virginia. Motz averaged 5 points per game his senior year, and his 3-point percentage dropped to a disappointing 36 percent. For his career, Motz accumulated 471 points and 187 rebounds.

So take your pick: Michael Lindeman or Jimmy Motz? Let us know why below.

Before reading this I thought Motz would win this because of his 3-point shooting and his performance in the MVC Tourney. Lindy never really got credit for being as a good of a shooter as he was. It looks lie Lindeman is going to runaway with this one.

It's a tough one because I always loved when Jimmy got on one of his shooting rolls. But after reflecting it became an easy choice . Lindy was a solid all around player who probably didn't get his due. Very heady player and was a great free throw shooter--I believe he had the consecutive ft made record until Booker came along and beat it (I think thats correct)
Lindy also wan't a bad rebounder--not big numbers of course but wasn't the biggest or most athletic guy. Jimmy was basically a one trick pony.
