Everyone—
Excited to announce that BJB has entered into a NIL agreement with Ryan Hawkins of the Jays MBB team. Ryan is as excited as we are to be part of this. I will get to what will be involved in this in just a minute
First a couple of things. 1- we are still trying to get another player on board with this. If we do it will be great especially when we do meet and greets as a larger turnout will be more cash to the players. 2- this as been fully endorsed by CU and the staff. This is a unique partnership as we are “media” but all is good as long as we follow a few ground rules. I haven’t had all of those shared yet but was told after explaining what we would do that we are following all of them. The main one is we can’t be involved with the player during team activities- which would of course include practice and a block of time before and during the games and up to 45 minutes after the game.
The first benefit of our partnership with Ryan will be practice reports. Beginning Monday Ryan will give me a brief summary of what took place at practice. He will do this 2-3 times a week during the season. We of course will share that with you.
The second benefit will be a weekly Q and A with Ryan. How this will work is you will submit questions in the Q and A thread -(we will sticky that so it’s at the top). I will ask Ryan 3-4 of these a week and he will respond d with answers. Anything can be asked but remember he has some guidelines as well. If we get a ton on one week I will push the hold overs to the next week etc. If for some reason we can’t answer your question I will communicate with you via PM. Hopeful that we can do a few video versions of this throughout the season.
Also upcoming will be zoom calls with Ryan for our members. We will do at least a couple of these during the season. They will be an hour long and will give you a chance to ask him more questions and give you a chance to interact and ask follow ups
We have a couple of other events planned as well such as a meet and greet. I already have one establishment on board to host one of these but more on that later when we get closer to having one
Finally a couple of asks. First we don’t want this content shared as it is part of the agreement with the player and more importantly it will lessen the value of your membership. My hope with this is that we can expand our membership by adding this feature and that will benefit all of us.
lastly several of you have asked how you can help with this. I would ask that you PM me if you in any way can donate anything to the cause. No amount is too small. Also if you want to become one of the major sponsors to this project let me know as well as there are benefits to that also
