His mother, a friend to this website over the past two years, told me today that Nevin has asked for his release from Creighton. I'm assuming there will be a news release of this in the next few hours. Creighton won't be very happy that it came out this way because they like to control this type of information but Mrs. Johnson decided to go public with the news.
This isn't a big shock as Creighton will sign Devin Brooks tomorrow. They needed a scholarship and they found one. Johnson did not fit in well with Coach Mac's system but he is a talent. I think he will find a home quickly. Best of luck to him.
