I'd skip the O/U - I think we are in for an 80-70 ish game. With that though, definitely take the Jays on the $$ line

35 minutes til tip.

We talk yesterday about the windows in Hinkle. Right now the sun is hitting me square in the face.

They brought "Blue", the Butler mascot out on the floor a few minutes ago. He proceeded to bark for a minute or two before he was escorted off the floor. Hopefully for an entrance later on.

Ravi just pointed out to me that Christian David is on this Butler squad. David was a big time recruit that the Jays were heavily after. Oregon, Pittsburgh, Miami and Butler were also after him and , of course, he landed at Butler. David is averaging 10 minutes and two points a game.

FYI--they are expecting a sellout today.

Pleasure of sitting next to Dave Worlock of the NCAA today. Dave, along with Dan Gavitt runs the NCAA selection process. Great getting insight on the reactions to NET

Surprise is that Paul Jorgenson did not start today. Henry Baddley , who had a good game off the bench against Georgetown got the nod

Bad first shift for Ty Shon and Mintz. Z and Joesph in

Easy to see on the defensive end what the Jays strategy is. They will let Thompson and Baldwin take three's. Jefferson appears to be a tough match up for McDermott--but when he got switched to TyShon got an easy look

Ravi Lulla thought that was a good call against Brunk--so I shall agree.

Butler criticized for their lack of defense and intensity in the game against Georgetown. They came out today with a purpose. Creighton clearly rattled--unless they settle down it will be a long day for the Jays

from the first possession of the first half you could see the Jays came out with a different mind set--8-0 run--cut the lead to 11

Baldwin has had his way for most of the game--but when Mintz has been on him he's done a pretty good job. One positive is that if he continues to give that effort on the D end it will really help the Jays down the stretch. Now need to get him settled down on the offensive end

when they Jays have been down a lot this year the tendency is for players to do to much. That has happened again today

I can understand an inexperience team would try to do to much when the coach never calls timeouts to settle them down....Jays cut it to 8 and Butler goes on huge run to get it to a 20 point lead and no timeout. Not that a timeout would of made a difference but it might stop the bleeding

Four NBA scouts right behind us--primarily looking at Baldwin.

In other news Coach Jordan has split his pants ala Ed Cooley--he has donned the Gatorade towel
