Well in a short 5-6 months the basketball BE overthrew the football BE to re-invent a basketball-centric conference which looks very similar to the original product...albeit minus a few of the well known brands (BC, Syracuse, Pitt, UConn, and a few others).
Paperwork is being shuffled in the background (reworking/amending the BE charter and bylaws, etc.) as we have:
- HQ in NYC.
- a continuation of the BE Tourney at MSG.
- recognition of conference by the NCAA.
- Officials for the conference have been tabbed-
- a new Commish in place by the end of this week.
- More AD and bigwig mtgs coming up this month.
- Teams in place (10) for the initial season runs.
- schedules are being worked up for all sports.
- Fox Sports media contract in place.
A bunch of work has been done in short order. What is next in the conference startup and operations pecking order?
How do you see the conference shaking out in overall conference rankings... in basketball rankings?
