Strengths:
McGusty is a long and athletic playmaker. He is a very good facilitator. He makes plays off the bounce on the break and in the halfcourt with a pass first mentality and approach. McGusty can run the halfcourt offense and is good at end of clock situations. He scores mostly by attacking the lane and finishing at the rim, with floaters and short rythum dribble pull ups in the lane. McGusty is a smooth penetrating and drive, draw and kick or drop passer as well.
Weaknesses:
McGusty will need to add strength, be more of a vocal leader and work to develop his jumper and extend his range and improve his decisions at times which will take his game to the next level of production.
Bottom Line:
McGusty is a long and lean playmaker. He gets teammates involve and can score in the lane with a variety of crafty finishes. He is a pass first guard that makes teammates better and is a high major minus prospect with tremendous upside
